At Ziggleoafing Books, every purchase helps support mental health.
Each month, we donate a portion of proceeds to an organization making a difference.
Here’s who we’re celebrating this month & why they matter:
Healing by the Numbers with Dr. Ruth
Celebrating Women’s History Month
I first discovered Dr. Ruth on Instagram, when she was ‘Blip’

Blip’s mission. . . priority. . . message was psychology and statistical data (very you are not alone!) for healing. Blip shared emotions, overwhelm, & truth we were all feeling. I loved Blip. I followed their journey; & I saw Blip putting themselves out there encouraging people to connect for survivor support- community care-
I remember a posts where Blip was trying to grow a community, “wouldn’t it be amazing if I could find 1,000 people who cared & connected?”
Then one day, Blip stepped aside. HealingbyNumbers posted something different. Dr. Ruth.
Dr. Ruth stepped out from behind the Canva images- out from behind the graphics- & shared her story.
I remember one of her first, “I want to be brave’ beautiful posts, She wrote a song & just wanted to sing it.

Since then, Dr. Ruth has grown.
Grown her platform, with over 178K followers. Grown her support & resources. Grown in her bravery.
Healing by the Numbers is, in her words:
“For ten years, I lived through an abusive marriage. When I finally left, I realized something: no one had ever taught me what abuse actually looks like. So now I teach the things I wish I’d known then.
I help you understand the patterns of abuse, reclaim your self-trust, and reconnect with who you are outside of what you lived through.
My work blends data, psychology, lived experience, and science to make healing feel less confusing (and a lot less lonely).”
The platform, creative videos & deep shares talks about recognizing and naming emotional abuse.
While I am lucky enough to have a partner whom so deeply loves & cares for me, I have liked many of her videos as they’ve helped me recognize abuse in many other relationships in my life.
Snippets from her workbooks, workshops, and guides have supported cloudy memories I’ve learned to recognize are patterns of abusive cycles.
Community Feature
Dr. Ruth started a Scholarship Support Fund.
In Dec, the fund helped thirty women who went from ‘I can’t afford to leave’ to ‘I’m supported by a community who cares.” From survivors who’ve been abused for decades and are rallying their strength to protect their grandchildren, to those doing everything they can to plan their escape with no other support in place.
This month, as March honors the history of strong women, we are honoring Dr. Ruth’s history- her open sharing- her bravery- & her kindness to make a real change.
10% of every purchase this month will be donated to Dr. Ruth’s Scholarship Funds support to support survivors in real time- to grow community care- & to create real change.
